Lawn aeration involves the removal of small soil plugs or cores out of the lawn.  This increases water, nutrient and oxygen movement into the soil.

Reasons to aerate include:

- lawn is heavily used, which causes the turf to thin or look unhealthy.
- thatch layer is in excess of 1/2 inch.
- you have a heavy clay soil.
- to promote growth of new grass seed.

Soil samples will tell you what the PH levels are in your yard.  It is critical that your yard has the right PH level.  If the PH is off we can take the next steps in getting it corrected and getting your yard looking great.
